The Worst Years Of The Mustang

The Mustang II is supported by most Mustang enthusiasts as the worst of the line. By 1974, pollution controls and gas mileage concerns were destroying the previous generation of classical Hot Rods. Horsepower has always been a thing of the past, and the Mustang became a small state in order to survive this difficult time. The Mustang II two styles body with a two-door hard top, and a Pinto-like hatch. There was no convertibles in this year.
The car had two engines available: a 4-cylinder engine with only 88 horsepower, and a German-built 171 ci 2.8L V-6 rated at 105 hp. In 1975, Ford again the 302 cubic-inch small block eight to the Mustang II, but with only 122 hp. Compare that in 2005, the model is up to 300 hp.
The Mustang II was smaller than the 1960-version, but with a weight of 3000 pounds and a meager 88 horsepower meant a very slow trip. Fortunately, the very popular 2005 Mustang as already mentioned has much more power.
The Mustang Ghia was the Ford Mustang that included luxury deluxe seat belts, digital clock, vinyl seats and door trim, door courtesy lights, rear ashtrays, remote outside mirrors, hard brake boot, pin stripes and a vinyl roof. Why someone as a vinyl roof of a luxury is not known to this day. Maintenance for a vinyl-top can be a pain as all persons in possession will be found there.
The 1970 was a terrible time indeed for the Mustangs, but in 1980 & 39; would prefer to see a return to power. The current model of the Mustang is not only the most popular sports cars on the market, it& 39;s doing well the original Mustang, with its 300 horsepower and great looks.

7 Easy Ways To Slash Your Auto Insurance Costs

The law requires you buy auto insurance. So if you must get cover, how can you reduce costs ? Here s 7 easy ways to get the best possible auto insurance deal.
* Multiple Quotes
Get multiple quotes - use the internet and call a few brokers. It s easy to gather some good comparison quotes.
Remember to get different types of quotes e.g one from a direct-sell insurance company; another from an offline broker who keeps a database of quotes; and a couple from the internet.
Cheapest might not mean best. Will they pay out if you make a claim ? How financially secure ? How reputable ? Check around with family and friends, and look for online reviews.
* Different type of car
Insurance costs vary depending on car type. Obviously, that $100k sports model costs more to insure than your average runabout. If you re planning to buy a new car, check insurance costs before you buy. I once set my heart on a beautiful, high performance, highly tuned Pontiac.
Luckily I checked the auto insurance before I bought it, because I couldn t get insurance. Every broker, every insurance company flat turned me down because I lived in a high car-crime area. So I had to forget the car of my dreams until I moved up-town.
* Age and Value of Car
Maybe you re buying a used car ? Maybe your car saw better days a few years ago, and now values much lower ? So why pay for high-priced auto insurance ? In particular, do you still need fully comprehensive coverage ?
A good rule of thumb multiplies insurance premium by 10, and compares that figure with your car value. So if you re quoted $1000 premium and your car is worth less than $10,000 you may want to think if comprehensive represents good value. If you drop collision and/or comprehensive coverage, you should get big savings.
* Higher deductibles (excess charges)
Most auto insurance companies use deductibles to keep policy cost down. Deductibles, or excess charges, show what you pay before your auto insurance policy kicks in. Try requesting quotes with different levels of deductibles, and see how your quotes vary.
Most internet quote forms contain a box where you can specify preferred level of deductibles. Ask your broker his recommended level. For example, going from $250 to $500 deductible can slash your insurance costs by 20% or more. Go to $1000 and you save a lot of money. But you must pay the deductible if you need to make a claim !
* Multiple Insurances
I guess this might come under the Get Multiple Quotes heading, but it s still worth mentioning separately. You usually get an insurance break if you buy multiple policies with the same insurer.
This might mean multiple vehicles, or homeowner and auto insurance. Either way it s worth asking about multi-policy discounts.
* Low Mileage
More and more people work at home. No more commuting. Fewer business trips. Low mileage on your car. Maybe you do travel to work, but car pool ?
Either way, look for low mileage discounts.
* Good Driving Record
A good driving record always reduces your auto insurance costs. Keep a clean drivers license. Don t speed, don t drive dangerously, and you ll save money (apart from other benefits !)
* Bonus Tip
Okay, I said 7 Ways... , but here s some extra tips. Fit anti-theft devices to your car. Go on an advanced driver training course. Use daytime running lights. If you re a college student away from home, consider adding to parents policy.
This short article covers the things you must consider when shopping for auto insurance. Follow these tips and you ll slash your auto insurance costs.

How to Choose the Best 10 Minute Oil Change Service Center

Here are a few things to consider the next time you want a quick 10 minute oil change.

Location

Since you re a busy person, you want to make the most of the time you have available. And spending a lot of time driving just to find a 10 minute oil change center isn t going to make your life any easier. So you want a place that can be gotten to quickly so you can have your car serviced and be on your way. In most cases, a ten to fifteen minute drive is ideal if you want to get in and get out so you can take care of other matters.

Just as important as how long it takes to get to the 10 minute oil change service center is how easy it is to get in and out. Trying to cross 3 lanes of heavy traffic will probably take more time than it will to get your oil changed. And when time is precious, the last thing you want is to be stuck in the middle of the road for fifteen minutes just trying to make a left.

Convenience

Believe it or not there are still some places that require you to get out of your car and wait for your 10 minute oil change service to be done. And while these places sometimes offer 10 minute oil changes, it s really a hassle for consumers, especially when they re pressed for time.

Busy people like you should look for a place that allows you to drive in, sit in your car and drive right out as soon as the work is finished. There really isn t much of a reason to leave your car for a 10 minute oil change unless you re having other things done to it that ll take more than 10 minutes to complete.

Services Provided

10 minute oil change centers usually offer a variety of service packages. All will change your oil, but many will check and top off your car s fluids, check your air filter, check tire pressure, check wiper blades and even lubricate vital parts.

You should look for a place that will give your car a thorough inspection in addition to changing your oil. It generally doesn t take up any more time and will give you the comfort of knowing that your vehicle is as safe as can be when you drive away. While you may not always need those extras, it s nice to know they re available and that most problems can be fixed while you wait.

Price

The sheer number of 10 minute oil change facilities to choose from is good for you because competition helps to keep prices down. Still, you want to find a place that s not going to gouge you for basic service. In my area the standard price for a basic 10 minute oil change is around $20, which is a fair price for the convenience, time savings and not having to get under the car myself. From that base price you can usually opt for additional services and checks to be performed on your vehicle.

Oil Types

Valvoline, Castrol, Pennzoil, Lucas, 10W30, 10W40 it s all Greek to me, but it may mean something for your particular vehicle. Today, cars and trucks are advanced machines and some demand certain types of oil.

While most 10 minute oil change places offer a primary brand of oil, many stock competing brands for those that have a preference or a special need. Just be careful because, in many instances, if you opt for a brand that s something other than the primary one offered by the service center, you ll pay extra.

So if you have a preference of Castrol over Valvoline, then find a place that offers that as their brand of choice.

Time

I know that a 10 minute oil change should mean exactly that, but if you get additional services that some centers provide you ll probably end up being a little longer than ten minutes. How much longer is acceptable is a matter of preference, but ideally you should be in and out within 15 minutes, if you get the full service. For basic oil change service 10 minutes should be the norm.

Still you don t want to feel as if you re being rushed through like cattle. A 10 minute oil change is fast, but if the company goes over because they re being thorough, then that s better for you and your car.

People

It seems like finding good customer service these days is like finding the Holy Grail. If you can find a 10 minute oil change place that offers quick service AND has a friendly, knowledgeable staff, then you ve hit the jackpot.

A good staff who knows what they re doing is important because they not only treat you like a person as opposed to a fistful of dollars, but they can also alert you to problems you might not have known about like a leaking radiator until it was too late.

While these might seem like a lot of things to consider especially for something as simple as a 10 minute oil change you and your car will be better off once you find a place that offers everything you re looking for.
